Linda graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in health youth leadership and physical education. She received a master's degree in exercise physiology with a minor in nutrition. She has worked in the fitness industry for over 15 years as a personal trainer, physical therapist aid, swim teacher and water aerobics instructor.

Village Healthy Living Tip - Don't Over Do It

Be careful that you are not over-exercising. There is a fine line between working out too much and working out too little. If you are exercising excessively, your body goes into starvation mode and holds on to everything you put in your body. The body fears it will not have enough energy to maintain the workouts so it stores the food as fat. This goes against the whole point of being in the gym. Finding the perfect balance is hard but once you find it, it is easy to lose weight and create the body you want!
